Though delicate in design, this bed is remarkably sturdy and stout. The design goal was to have a bed that is both simple in appearance and that gives a strong presence. To have the headboard extend 6″ on either side past the footprint of the rest of the bed frame lends to making a statement in the room without feeling bulky.

Bed is constructed with all mortise and tenon joinery using solid 1.5″ and 2″ wood, yet breaks down simply and easily. The beds pictured are solid walnut.

WOOD + UPHOLSTERY

Wood: Available in any domestic hardwood including Walnut, Maple, White Oak, Cherry, Ash.

Upholstered headboard: Any Eco-wise Pendleton® wool currently available, leather for an additional $200, or personalized option. Message for links of some places to start.

FINISH

We use a natural (and food-safe) oil/wax finish to protect and highlight the beauty of the wood so that it can be enjoyed in day-to-day activities by all ages without fear. Any spills can easily be wiped off and, over time, a simple application of oil will revitalize the piece as needed based on personal preference. Yes, it’s designed to be beautiful, but it’s also built to be lived in and a part of your family’s life.

ASSEMBLY

This bed is easily assembled in under 5 minutes, using sturdy interlocking hardware to attach the side rails to the headboard and footboard. Slats support the mattress, as well as an adjustable center support leg, leaving no need for a superfluous box spring.

    Beautiful bed! Great design, and very sturdy. This is my first bed I bought after using the same one from college for about 8 years, and needless to say I picked a great one. The delivery service was on time, and very helpful. The gentlemen brought the bed up 3 flights of stairs and expertly put the bed together in under 10 mins. I highly recommend a bed from casey!
