Handcrafted Living Room Furniture

  • Bench No. 1

This bench was designed to sit at the foot of your bed but looks equally at home in your entryway.

  • Coffee Table No. 1

This coffee table takes on a more sophisticated and timeless shape than the typical mid mod furniture of the moment. Design is made to be simple in structure, but complex in detail. It is a piece that is instantly pleasing to look at, but subtly intricate, where more details pop out to you as you live with it.

It is constructed with through tenon joinery wedged with ebony. This particular table was inlaid with ebony to stop a crack from causing any problems down the road. The box is constructed with dovetail joinery. This can be made with or without a drawer. The drawer option will be able to pull from both ends of the box.

  • Coffee Table No. 2

Though delicate in design this coffee table is built to outlive you. The lines are strikingly minimal, but intricacies of the design stand out the longer you look at it. The four radius edges give a soft feel to the table and the 30″ undercut bevel makes the top and shelf appear lighter and thinner than they really are. The top features exposed through mortise and tenon joints that have been wedged to provide strength even after the glue fails in 100 years.

  • Coffee Table No. 4

    My favorite coffee table…

This is made from a single slab of Claro Walnut and inlayed with our 30 walnut patches of differing grain, color and size. The inlay sequence is in one sense subtle but also adds to an endlessly interesting landscape to stare at for an hour. The organic live edge is juxtaposed to sharp boxes and the result is an incredibly interesting and fun to make coffee table.

  • Coffee Table No. 5

Simple elegance and serious engineering. A test of design and woodworking skills to create and interesting, complex yet painfully simple silhouette.

  • Credenza No. 1

This is a piece that truly speaks for itself. The fully grain matched solid wood walnut facade brings warmth and depth to this otherwise very simple silhouette. The custom made brass feet and drawer pulls on the sliding doors compliment the walnut exquisitely, while adding a subtle softness to the piece.

The top section includes 3 bypass sliding doors with media cord access through the back panel. The bottom section is made with all push to open hardware and includes three drawers in the middle section and two cabinet doors on either side with adjustable shelves within.

  • Mid Century Modern Bench

Painfully elegant, simple, and versatile. Our entry bench can be used to make a quick statement in the living room or just as easily host family around the dining table. The bench is made from all solid wood.

Features exposed through tenons on the legs and subtle rounded ends making a fun mixture of true mid century silhouettes with modern touches.

  • Side Table No. 1

Constructed with Claro Walnut using waterfall mitered joinery for the case (waterfall miter = grain wraps uninterrupted around the whole case) and exposed angled bridal joints for the leg housing. The design goal was to have very clean, unassuming lines and a piece riddled with subtle details throughout the joinery, angles, facets, and grain variation.

A piece that is constantly drawing one’s attention, but never screaming to be seen.

Pulls are leather and brass, made in-house, but can customize any drawer pull to your liking.

  • Side Table No. 2

These side tables are the definition of a labor of love. They are almost impossible to justify making but they are such a pleasure to make we just can’t stop. All joints are sculpted to flow into and out of each other by hand. The floating box as well as the drawers within are handout dovetails giving a complex and sophisticated element to this playful design.

A piece of Scandinavian simplicity mixed with traditional elements. the box is dovetailed and rounded over to give a “worn in” look and feel.

The stretchers incorporate through mortises wedged with ebony for strength and subtle style.

  • Side Table No. 3

The soft lines in the angle bridle jointed legs juxtaposed with the hard, modern lines of the case make this a seriously fun piece. It is right at home with just about any bed I make and strikes a surprisingly balanced design between old and new.

The two drawers are equipped with soft close hardware that is concealed below the drawer.

These feature custom handmade leather and brass pulls.

    Side Table No. 3

  • Side Table No. 4

Designed to showcase the details of the joinery and wood, Side table No.4 fits perfectly with our dresser No.4 and Bed No.3&5.

The drawers can be made with push to open hardware so as to no interrupt the flow of the grain on the drawer faces or with any other drawer pulls one might like.

Simple and clean lines mixed with and interesting bevel on the case face leading to the drawers and a box jointed base that blends perfectly with the turned legs make this piece both dynamic and simple at the same time.

    Side Table No. 4

  • Side Table No. 5

Designed with both function and form in mind, this side table is built from all solid wood and features one soft-close drawer. This simple and elegant night stand works perfectly in a wide array of situations. Perfect for night stands or for living room side tables. The simple design works well with most of our beds, but was specifically designed to accompany bed No. 2. Constructed with grain wrapped miters the wood flows seamlessly around the case and the single drawer is capped with a hand stitched leather and brass drawer pull made in house.

The leather and brass pulls are custom made in house and their low profile keeps the facade both interesting and minimal.

We can typically accommodate any customization you need including drawer pull and sizing.
